Moon Nazis Need Our Help!

The producers of SF comedy Iron Sky (the one where the Nazis who have been hiding on the dark side of the moon since 1945 come back) have advised that the UK distributors have decided that the film will be shown in cinemas for just ONE day - Wednesday 23rd May.

Regardless of how good or not the film is, this is a complete kick in the teeth for independent film producers (and having seen the trailer and read reviews it is a good film and deserves better!).

The producers are asking people for their support by emailing the distribution company to express their dissatisfaction with the decision, hopefully you will, like me, add your name to the list...

  1. ONE DAY? There's a word for a move like that, and it describes what comes out ht the south end of a bull.

  3. I've been waiting to see this film for ages and now I have just one day to view it! This decision is outrageous and short-sighted.

  4. I was on You Tube recently and was looking at weird weapons WW2 and there WAS a plan for a Nazi spaceship to rain death and destruction on their enemies! Fired from a rocket sled it would shoot into the atmosphere and drop its payload anywhere in the world. Together with aircraft with rocket rotors to take on the US bombers. So Iron Sky is not THAT far fetched. Well, it is but you know what I mean...

  6. I think there's only about 30 cinemas across Australia showing it, but they are showing it for a whole seven days. And yet a country with four times the population of Oz gets it for one day. That's really silly.

(Sadly my area doesn't contain one of the cinemas showing it here :( )

    1. G'Day

Well the Eldest Spawn and I were lucky to be near one of those 30 here in Tasmania and the reason became obvious. Some filming and production was carried out in Queensland, Australia.

A search on the 'Screen Queensland' website shows the film to be a Finnish, German, Australian co-production.

      Cheers
